We get a quick trip this week to stay at our vacation home. Received another 10/10 review from our last guests too. We want guests who will become FRIENDS and return to vacation every year.
We use the house too
We bought this place because we wanted to be here. That is why the kitchen is stocked properly, the beds are good, and the garage has eight bikes instead of two rusty ones.
Every time we stay, we fix the small things we notice. Guests get the benefit of that.
A short trip works on Marco
Marco Island rewards a four or five night trip in the shoulder season. Fewer cars, warm water, and you can still get a table at Oyster Society without waiting.
A typical day: kayak the canal in the morning, beach in the afternoon, grill on the lanai, sunset from the pool deck.
Guests who come back
Our aim is repeat guests, not one-time bookings. Several families from our first year are already on the calendar again.
